A patient of yours who has an impacted lower third molar, visited you two days back with inflamed operculum where pus was oozing. You grind the opposing Third molars impinging cusps and did some superficial debridement also prescribed him Amoxicillin as per regime. That patient called you at night and complains that he cannot open his mouth though there is no obvious swelling. You noticed that his voice is hoarse. What will be your response to him?

Immediately go to ER department of some nearest hospital and give them the history and I will also tell them about the severity of the situation.

Immediately reach my office and I will do drainage of more pus from the area.

Come tomorrow morning and we will do immediate surgery of the impacted wisdom tooth.

It will be OK in a day or two, just continue with the antibiotics and saline mouth washes.
