A new Quizzn
By onebit0fme · · 1 min read
After more than ten years on the same code, Quizzn has been rebuilt from the ground up. The site you're using now is new, but everything you made is still here: your account and password, your quizzes, your questions and explanations, your study groups and your practice history. Links to quizzes and questions haven't changed either.
What's new
Practise without an account. Anyone can now open a public quiz and start practising or flipping flashcards straight away. Your progress is kept in your browser, and if you create an account or log in later, everything you've practised moves into it.
Faster, and comfortable on a phone. Pages are much lighter and load quickly, and every page works on small screens.
Better study groups.
- Share any of your quizzes with a group from the quiz page.
- Send an invite link: whoever opens it joins straight away, with no approval needed.
- Group founders and managers now get an email when someone asks to join, so requests no longer go unseen.
Unlisted quizzes. Besides public and private, a quiz can now be unlisted: anyone with its link can open it, but it never shows up in search or on Discover. Handy for a class or a few friends.
Tidier categories. Quizzes had drifted into whichever category the old form showed first. They're now sorted properly, so the filters on Discover mean something again.
A blog worth reading. This blog will carry news like this, plus study guides for the exams people prepare for here.
What hasn't changed
You still log in with the same username or email and password. Explanations, votes, borrowing questions into your own quizzes, reports and leaderboards all work as before. Quizzn remains free, supported by a few ads on public pages.
