Practice quiz FlashcardsExplanations
IADT guidelines advise letting all intruded immature permanent teeth re-erupt on their own, whatever the degree of intrusion. Orthodontic repositioning starts only if no re-eruption is seen within about 8 weeks. In mature teeth, only intrusions of less than 3 mm are left to re-erupt; deeper intrusions are repositioned surgically or orthodontically.
